Indian Child Social Services (ICSS)

The Indian Child Social Services program provides services to Consortium Tribal members under 18 years of age and their families.

Eligibility for ICSS services is determined by children either being Tribal members or eligible for enrollment in a Consortium Tribe. A Tribe may provide documentation indicating a child under 18 is eligible for benefits for the purposes of ICWA if the child is a part of the community. The ICSS program follows the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA).

  • Prevention of child removal
  • Supporting families working with Child Welfare Services towards reunification
  • Facilitating foster care
  • General social service assistance
  • Case management
