Boys & Girls Club Of

Kumeyaay Nation Wellness

The Boys and Girls Club of Kumeyaay Nation Wellness (BGCKNW), operated through Southern Indian Health Council Inc., offers youth ages 6-19 from the Tribal Reservations a welcoming place to spend time after school, during school holiday breaks, and over the summer.
We are proud of this small yet growing club, which has increased its membership significantly even while being shut down due to COVID-19! The club located on the La Posta Reservation is the first Native Services Boys and Girls Club established in California. It offers enriching activities that help reduce youth risk factors, support for academic success, and promote a healthy lifestyle. During the shutdown, the club ran a successful meal delivery program as well as virtual groups during summer and spring break.
Now that the club has been reopened, it offers a variety of programs and activities for Native youth. Programs include, Girls Group, STEM activities, cooking classes, and more! Tutoring and homework help for members after school. The Boys & Girls Club of Kumeyaay Nation Wellness is open Monday through Friday from 3pm-6pm.
The vision of the Boys & Girls Club of Kumeyaay Nation Wellness is to be a safe place where kids can be who they are and become who they are meant to be while learning healthy life skills. Membership is free for Native families! Please call (619) 445-1188 ext. 650 for more information.
